When I moved to New York, I was a teenager living on $30.00 a week and a dream. I worked my way through school and built a path based on making music, meeting inspiring people, and following my gut. Hundreds of episodes later (details to come), I wrote and recorded the music of my first album “Leaving New York” and assembled my favorite musicians from my journeys (Grammy Award winning clarinetist Paquito D’Rivera, world class bassist Christian McBride, inventive keyboardist Jason Lindner, renowned jazz violinist Christian Howes, drummer for the stars Tony Escapa, and more). The name “Leaving New York” represents my ongoing hope that the music and experiences I have will permeate beyond the boundaries of the ‘concrete jungle’ and support a call for peace, harmony, and enjoyment throughout the universe. Thus, as this record marks a milestone of creation, collaboration, and a springboard to everything that happens to me today, I want to offer it as a gift to you, and hope that it will inspire your journeys.
