DANA LEONG launches Life After Dark! |
 |
|
"2008 marks the maiden
voyage of a project which 'till now, has really been just a dream
for me. I am launching a brand new media series based from my Harlem
recording studio called Life After Dark, which features collaborations
between up and coming artists deserving wider recognition. You should
expect the unexpected as this projects goal is also to create connections
and works between artists crossing cultural and stylistic genre
boundaries. What would happen if you could pick your favorite artists
and throw them into a flavorful pot of unexpected sights and sounds?
Take roots from Jazz, mix them with symphonic rock, or take a new
twist of dancehall and mix it with the sounds of New York Funk boosted
with spice from the 'Dirty South.' Or how about finally some True
World Music from South America fused with sacred sounds of the Far
East? Stay tuned as video podcasts, music clips, interviews, action
photos, and a whole lot more interesting combinations emerge!"

DANA LEONG'S ANTHEMS OF LIFE
|
| |
|
Dana Leong's new album
ANTHEMS OF LIFE is out now and so are
the reviews.
"The songs find their origins in hip-hop, but this is no
surprise. It is actually comforting that an artist of this generation
has instilled his poetry with universal vision; a vision that
permeates the state of art, music, race and the world to life
them up and bring them to an attention that is broad, and not
simply for a select few."-All About Jazz
"Dana Leong and his band have truly
recaptured hope in me."-Evolution of Media
